Important Notice

Discipline and grooming are an integral part of a dancer's life, therefore The NSW Ballet School has a strict policy on uniforms.

Correct attire, footwear and class colors must be worn at all times. Also, hair must be pulled back into a neat secure bun. Two buns for shorter hair. Fringes must be pinned back out of the students eye line.

All Uniform Requirements can be purchased from A Bloch Store or Dance Wear Store.

Please contact the office prior to uniform purchase, as there are specific uniform item codes for each item upon purchase. We will gladly provide you with the correct codes for each grade & uniform item.

Uniform For Classical Ballet Course

Junior Ballet Course

Pre-Primary In Dance (3-4)

Girls: Pink capped sleeve scooped neck Poly Cotton Lycra, leotard Code, theatrical pink tights (winter), ballet socks (summer), RAD skirt, and pink leather or satin ballet shoes.

Boys: White short sleeved PCL leotard, navy tights, white socks and white leather or canvas shoes.

Primary Grade (5-6)

Girls: Pink capped sleeve scooped neck Poly Cotton Lycra, leotard Code, theatrical pink tights (winter), ballet socks (summer), RAD skirt, and pink leather or satin ballet shoes.

Boys: White short sleeved PCL leotard, navy tights, white socks and white leather or canvas shoes.

Grade One (6-7)

Girls: Pink capped sleeve scooped neck Poly Cotton Lycra, leotard Code, theatrical pink tights (winter), ballet socks (summer), and pink leather or satin ballet shoes. Props: Pink Scarf.

Boys: White short sleeved PCL leotard, navy tights, white socks and white leather or canvas shoes. Props: Flag.

Grades Two, Three & Four (8-10)

Girls: Burgundy leotard, soft pink leather or satin ballet shoes, theatrical pink tights (winter), ballet socks (summer).

Boys: White short sleeved PCL leotard, navy tights, white socks and white leather or canvas shoes.

Character Uniform (Grade One - Grade Four)

Girls: Black full circular skirt with braiding/ribbons to compliment color of leotard.

Girls Shoes: Grades One - Grade Two Character Flat. Boys Shoes: Black laced-up character shoes.

Grades Three - Five Character Cuban. Boys Shoes: Black laced-up character shoes.

Senior Ballet Course

Intermediate Foundation (11+)

Girls: Black leotard with shoe string straps, flat canvas ballet shoes and pointe shoes with ribbons, theatrical pink tights.

Intermediate - Advanced Two

Girls: Black leotard with shoe string straps, demi pointe and pointe shoes with ribbons, pink tights.

Boys: White short sleeved PCL leotard, navy PCL tights, white leather ballet shoes, short white socks.

Solo Seal

Girls: Black leotard with shoe string straps, flat ballet shoes and pointe shoes with ribbons, theatrical pink tights, half black tutu skirt.

Boys: White short sleeved PCL leotard, navy PCL tights, white leather ballet shoes, short white socks.

Uniform For Jazz Class

Black Leotard, plain black full length leggings, ballet stockings / ballet socks, black elasta bootie jazz shoes, hair in a neat secure bun with fringes pinned back.

Uniform For Contemporary/ Lyrical

Black Leotard, plain black full length leggings, ballet stockings / ballet socks, flat ballet shoes (with elastics sewn on), foot things or bare feet, hair in a neat secure bun with fringes pinned back. Knee pads are highly advised for this class, as we do a lot of floor work.
